This Privacy Policy explains how Zext SRL ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the TreLivelli mobile application and our website at trelivelli.com (together, the "Service").

1. Who we are

The data controller is Zext SRL. For privacy-related requests, contact us at info@trelivelli.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the TreLivelli iOS app and the trelivelli.com website. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account identifiers: a Firebase user ID created when you use the app (including anonymous sign-in).
  • Device and app data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, locale, time zone, and a device identifier (such as identifierForVendor) used to recognize your device across sessions.
  • Push notification data: your push notification token (FCM) and notification permission status if you enable notifications.
  • Learning preferences and activity: selected Italian level, reading progress, saved articles and words, onboarding choices, and in-app interaction events.
  • Subscription status: whether you have an active premium subscription, synchronized through Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat.
  • Support and feedback: messages or information you voluntarily submit through Help & Feedback or similar features.
  • Website waitlist: your email address if you join our mailing list on the website.
  • Tracking permission status: whether you allow App Tracking Transparency (ATT) on iOS. We do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) unless you grant ATT permission.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports and aggregated analytics about how the Service is used.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • Personalize content to your learning level and preferences;
  • Deliver push notifications you have requested;
  • Process and verify subscriptions;
  • Sync your progress across sessions and devices linked to your account;
  • Respond to support requests and feedback;
  • Monitor performance, fix errors, and prevent abuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract: to provide the Service you request;
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and analyze the Service in a way that does not override your rights;
  • Consent: for optional activities such as push notifications, ATT tracking (if enabled), website analytics cookies, and marketing emails where required.

6. Third-party processors

We use trusted service providers, including:

  • Google / Firebase — authentication, analytics, crash reporting, cloud messaging, remote configuration;
  • Apple — App Store, In-App Purchases, and subscription management;
  • RevenueCat — subscription status and entitlements;
  • Our backend (api.trelivelli.app) — account, content, and progress storage;
  • Mailchimp — website waitlist emails (if you subscribe);
  • Google Analytics — website analytics only when you consent to optional cookies.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. Some may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account in the app Settings, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Remove Account in the app. You may also contact us at info@trelivelli.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. In Italy, the supervisory authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

12. Website cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to function. Optional analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you consent through the cookie banner. You can change your preferences at any time via Cookie Settings in the footer.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by other appropriate means.
